I just found this on RB. I think it is very telling:

OT: Coup d'Etat in the Unites States of America.

It began with the efforts to steal the 2000 Presidential Election by recounting already counted votes under new rules till Algore won the election. Scarcely did this attempted coup failed, the Dems began another one. This has to do with the Confirmation process.

Only 55 Bush nominees have been confirmed and literally hundreds of appointments are awaiting confirmation. In the meantime, Democrats appointed under Clinton run the govt, AS IF THE ELECTION DID NOT HAPPEN.

The situation is just as bad with judicial appointments. Democrat Senators maintain that they will vote only for Moderates (i.e. liberals). The protestations of California's liberal Senators would have more merit, if they had voted against the zany liberals Clinton appointed to the Courts.

Examples:
1. Diane Wood (7th US Circuit Court of Appeals) had found that depriving a prisoner of a smoke-free environment constituted cruel and unusual punishment.
2. Judge Richard Paez(9th Circuit Court of Appeals) had struck down an LA ordinance prohibiting aggressive panhandling after a beggar stabbed a man because he refused to give the beggar 25 cents. Paez referred to prop 187, which prohibits illegal aliens from receiving state aid, as discriminatiry and hostile to the Latino Community.
3. Clinton appointee, Blaine Michael, had sided with extreme feminists who claimed that Virginia Commenwealth University had discriminated against female professors in pay. Male professors that went to court and won their case, because whatever disparity existed in salaries was due to a difference inmerit and performance. Judge Michael dissented on the grounds that even if the salaries were given based on merit, this amounted to discrimination, BECAUSE MERIT IS A MALE COCEPT.
4. Judge Robert Henry(10th Circuit Court of Appeals) had ruled that it constituted cruel and unusual punishment for the state to deny a transsexual prisoner a sex-change hormone treatment.

Sen Barbara Boxer (D, Calif) claims that she only voted for 'moderets.' Sen Boxer, did you object when these liberal nutcases were being nominated? Of course not.
