Summer typically is also very unfriendly to techs in general (historically)

Recent history suggests that summer is very friendly to techs. '91,93,94,95,96 (except june),97,98,99,00 all saw the Naz rise compared to the March-May timeframe. This has added "summer rally" to popular media lingo and don't forget the stealth rally last August.

Tech's went up and people couldn't understand why especially since the heavy hitters were at the beach. I recall it was another time of markets anticipating the future and the dominant mentality became the fear of missing the rally train.

Of course that was taken care of after Labor Day just as the January '01 rally was "corrected"
