I suppose (for a western production) that it provided a reasonably fair allotment between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

What strikes me most in thinking about the documentary is that we were and are creating God. God is us. God is our thoughts; God is our reach (to refer to Browning).

There are no indications in any religious traditions (to my way of thinking), that lead toward a God beyond our own imagination--beyond our own fears and desires. It is for this reason that I object to creating a cruel, vicious, partial God willing to destroy everyone other than His own (His own too actually). As we continue to overtake images that impel us toward a higher conception of reality--it is only condign that we attempt to paint a circle that includes whatever is generous and encompassing--and avoid that which is ugly and stupid.

For we are the God we worship. He is our beliefs, He is our values, He is our compassion, and He is also all our mistakes...
