No it doesn't Jeff. I've often asked what I would do if someone were to rape a member of my family and get the run of the mill 10 years and out in 5 on good behavior. In some ways its worse than murder because the woman has to live with it forever. It can completely ruin families and yet it gets treated as a lessor crime than murder. I'm not sure how I feel about a State Run Death Penalty because in the end the executioner it flipping a switch on a man that never harmed him. Killing without personal cause is something I'm not sure I understand. I do however understand how a man could come unglued and kill a person who had raped his wife, sister or mother. I know laws are laws but throwing an otherwise normal man in prison for killing a rapist under the above set of circumstances would be very difficult for me to do if I were on the jury.
