And lots of Dems did serve.

And so did lots of Repubs. The issue here is one of draft dodging. Anyone who served whether in Vietnam or National Guard could not by definition be a draft dodger. I also don't count those who legally exercised deferments, etc. But those who lied to their draft board (like Clinton) or those who fled to Canada are draft dodgers. They are pond scum.
