>>when I saw Frank's warning about NTAP this morning, I decided to wait. And lo and behold the Nasdaq took off.<<

People who study charts had been talking a lot about DOW resistance at 11,000. The Dow smashed through that last week and isn't all that far from its all time high. I've seen a few observations that 2250 was the resistance level on the Nasdaq that needed to be "taken out". A move over that level may be seen as a signal for shorts to cover and bulls to buy. We'll see.

try to sell when this buying surge is past.

The real trick is to sell when you predict the buying surge is past but the buyers still think the surge has legs. I've been watching the up's and down's closely the past few weeks and I am amazed at how fast the premiums start dropping at the slightest hint of a slowing, leveling, or downturn.

Just a thought about all these calls.

The market has a way of ruining a party. Savy folks have had a nice year plus of selling calls and making mucho money. That can not go on forever.

If QCOM really starts to blast off, which it appears ONCE AGAIN looking like it might, then the risk rises in selling calls.

But I must say, it is a pleasure to see positive movement in the market. I like the way it feels in the light of day on the green pasture. Dark bear caves are bad for one's health.
