11:27 ET Sector Watch: Telecom Equipment : General tone in telecom equipment space has been cautious over the past month as risk to earnings remains high. However, investors finally beginning to return to the sector, attracted to alluring valuation of Tellabs (TLAB 40.25 +1.7) and positive price momentum of Advanced Fibre (AFCI 22.95 +1.06), which has seen its multiple quickly balloon to 60. Now seeing ADC Telecommunications (ADCT 10.11 +0.20) begin to participate, with stock making new 2-month high today. While still pricey, its multiple of 31.5x forward estimates sits at about the midpoint of the TLAB and AFCI.
