Good news on the generator.

Davis did push through a new generator for the south of San Jose. The locals who live near the site and even the San Jose mayor didn't want it but Davis got it passed somehow.

We have 4 to 6 peaker plants going online near my residential area sometime this summer.

I know we need the power but I live in the south, south SF Bay area. We have such a bad pollution problem that non-smokers have the same incidence of lung cancer as smokers do. All the smog from the refineries up on the Sacramento Delta area end up getting blown down the Santa Clara Valley.
The pollution is a problem that we need to address. I am not a radical environmentalist by any means but I do think that provisions need to be made for everyone's protection.

Everytime I go to Tahoe my husband and I are so thankful that development hasn't been allowed to ruin the place. My husband is a Republican and he also agrees. Heck, when we voted on the Montain lion management vs management proposition a few years ago I voted to hunt them and he voted against hunting!! Go figure!! LOL I really think we need to reach a happy median somewhere in the middle because either extreme is dangerous.
