Ken, Ken, Ken, wee hours, bourbon, gold, what are you trying to do, give the man a rakish reputation? All you would have to say is that he was singing songs and playing cards while his women wept at home and we have a hollywood movie going here. I will admit that sailing the yacht in the pacific with Larry Ellison a tad more challenging but the press corpse soon forgets you. Make few billion in gold and there will be a story about you every week long after you're dead. (I knew people who knew Harry Oakes and Bernard Baruch. Don't say gold or minerals do not make money. They are the only rags to riches game left short of inheriting it. Dot Coms and Linux ended last week.)

So do you want to make a few billion in gold? There are a few things a guy could try. And hey!~ they beat Indiana Jones if you want a life to brag about.

I note a lot of people post here on gold and even Hutch is a good soul down deep, but few want to leave the cabin to try their luck on Horsefly Creek. Maybe you gotta point in that case. That is probably why I left my comfortable home to roam the golden northwoods of Canada. After about 20 years I realized I could find gold, diamonds, lithium, copper and just about anything else. Finding the money to hold onto the claims let alone develop them was the challenge. It was then that I ruefully learned that cash was king. Prospectors were the suckers. But it sure fed the dreams. And I am the only guy I know who has seen a wolf pack and a moose fight to the death. Having seen that I learned you don't want to argue with either party.

You've always been of value to me by keeping me objective about gold. Gold doesn't create any future value, so one can't look at it in any other way but as a commodity. My only reason to be involved with it is that I'm doing my duty to fight against the pretense to knowledge that is called the FED.
