GV. There was a public television special on the history of Ford Motor Company sometime ago that I watched. This statement was made during that presentation. Although Ford was not publically traded, it, nonetheless, had many "investors" (bond holders and otherwise) and was consistently written about in the financial press, due principally to the abundant number of ongoing patent lawsuits.

Besides, Ford "stock" (not the bonds) not trading publically was probably a conspiracy too.
