Yes, they can be. In Canada, as well as many other countries, they are viewed as dangerous, and those in authority are discouraging private gun ownership, so unlike most works of art, which tend to appreciate over time, guns can become worthless in an instant as bureacratic fiat evaporates their marketability.

Although I appreciate the skill and workmanship required to produce these fine examples of craftsmanship, I'm also fully aware of the possibility of my investment evaporating overnight. I could see the room with 'guns with no prices' becoming a room of 'guns with no prices' of an entirely different sort.

Sad.
