Analyst math: O'Neil said he lowered his 2001 subscriber estimate on Sirius to 10,000 from 45,000 and 2002 subscriber estimate to 300,000 from 1.2 million. He also lowered Sirius' market share expectation to 40 percent from 50 percent. He raised his market share expectation on XM Radio to 60 percent. He cut his 2002 subscriber estimate on XM Radio to 1 million from 1.5 million to be closer to consensus estimates. hmmm 300,000/0.4=750K subscribers I guess admitting that you were only off by double what you now believe is reality makes you look stupid whereas admitting you were off by less than that makes you a look smart. biz.yahoo.com
