Dear Scumbria: I have been to San Jose, beautiful town, lovely campus at Santa Clara Univ. (my best friends daughter graduated from there and was married there--I attended both), roses everywhere as I recall. Anyhow 90 degrees there is delightful, the same temp here with the humidity is unbearable for me anymore, the ONLY thing we beat them on is the ocean, our water is nice and warm averaging around 78 degrees year around due to the Gulf Stream coming up from the south. Where I live the Gulf Stream comes as close to shore as anywhere in USA less than 2 miles offshore here. Keeps our temp moderate compared to other S. Fla and Central Fla. locals. BUT we got that humidity, its a killer.
As to single digit wind chills I got a Parka for that I have never worn its rated to MINUS 25 Degrees. Sure would like to try it out someday. JDN
