from january next year Euro notes and coins will begin to circulate...for a little while, retail stores will accept payment in both the phased out national currencies and the Euro. but essentially 01/01/02 is E-day.

the euro printing presses are not ALLOWED to go bonkers...the ECB's mandate is to see to it that its money supply growth target range is not exceeded for long.
