Cisco does have good Voice over IP, like everyone else, it's so good it sucks right now, like every other high bandwidth application. It's not that VOIP is high bandwidth, it is just priortized IP packets, like any other priortized IP, it might as well be high bandwidth. The best high bandwidth stuff you will see is on a dedicated link. For general purposes any kind of priortized packet sucks in todays cloud. In the enterprise you, as a user, may have 100Mbps as a connection speed, 10Mbps is still more common. Your 10Mbps connection cannot reliably carry a 384Kbps stream through the cloud, even with an OC-3 headend. This is going to take a lot of money to fix. The actual components that make up your network connection will likely change a lot over the next 5 years. Right now the number of people who have an Ethernet Internet connection at home is quite small, it will grow rapidly.

Cisco's will be a major Gig ethernet player, I anticipate that this is where enterprise is going in the next 5 years.
