Was talking to an experienced investor who reads a lot of private newsletters. He said that the CNBC folks got "yelled at" awhile back for being "too negative" (aka honest). That's why they are cheerleading again even though things are quite bad in techland. It is truly amazing that the investment community is "led" so easily. It is unfortunate that understanding what is happening with the companies is nowhere near as important as understanding what is going on in the minds of investors. They want to believe so bad that they are making another speculative bubble. This won't end well.
