This is what you risk when you fund and train terrorists because you believe you share a common enemy... Of all the nasty stuff going on in the world since the end of the cold war, Afghanistan most tugs at my heart strings. I don't really know why. Maybe it's guilt. Maybe it's as shallow as my fondness for Afghan cuisine. Or maybe it's because your country and mine couldn't do anything about it even if they wanted to. Karen P.S. Thanks for posting.
