The gentleman (Harry Palmer) has an affair with Rosa and then leaves, and NO... the evil daughter does not succeed in getting Ian elected.

All this is second hand info. from my work colleague who shares the same office. Can't vouch for any of it.

I still think my version is better, possibly could have got an award at Cannes for artistic interpretation.-g-
