We have no control over the outcome. The powers will try to hold this mess together as long as they can. We as investors have to do our homework and make investment moves on facts and not (BS). The world economy is like trying to hold a giant beach ball under water. When it explodes out of the water look out. My time frame is this year for GOLD and into the future until or if they can put the world economies back together. I make money when stocks go up and when they go down my style is too wait for no one. JMHO JR

>>That says to me that POG could stay under $300 far longer than anyone here thinks (possibly years, not months), but that when<<

I think what you are saying about producer selling could be true to some degree, I suspect there will be some continued forward selling. But these forward sales would have to be increased, ie, more not the same, on an annualized basis to overcome the demand. I do not believe the continued shorting by the banks will be sustained over "years". Interest rates at these levels make that game a mute point.
Shorting will occur only to keep gold from breaking into a full run. That is why back filling will be the key for a sustained rally. But I see that rally happening now.

I suspect that in the coming months, an effort will be made to decrease short positions. A sustained price under $300 would not increase the supply enough to accomplish this.
The BOE only has 5 or 6 auctions left at a reduced tonnage.
I also suspect the cb sales are simply going to the banks that are short the metal, just a way to cover up the existing massive short problem that has been apparent for a long time already. These sales are being passed under the guise that gold reserves are no longer necessary.

I agree that we shouldn't wish for this move in gold, the ramifications are significant, but that wish isn't going to prevent it from happening.

I'm looking for months not years..... its already been years
