So Linda Tripp's breaking of the law should excuse Clinton's breaking of the law?

You're justifying your position right into a corner.

Clinton's duty is to the court. Once the lawsuit is accepted, whatever its outcome, he is supposed to abide by the rules of evidence and the court's rulings. I do not think that Paula was "paid off", but it is irrelevant.

As for the illegal taping, what is ruled admissable is admissable. I do not blame Linda for wanting protection against reprisals.

In the end, the hope is to discredit the investigation, rather than to take a hard look at Clinton. Why get involved with Monica with the lawsuit already running? Why get involved with Monica when he had reason to think she was immature and untrustworthy? Why get involved with Monica in front of the whole office staff, practically? He couldn't contain himself for awhile, or find a more discreet way of satisfying himself? Face it, Clinton did it to himself.......

The motives of his accusers are irrelevant to the fact that he LIED. JLA

BTW, the case against Tripp was dropped. She did nothing illegal. She is a true American hero for exposing the corruption as she did. JLA

Was Tripp convicted of illegally taping Monica?
