They must trap enough folks who have the intention of paying in full by the end of the promo rate but end up not
being able to do so to make it worth their while.

That is probably the case by a known percentage rate. If that's true, they should also know what percentage churns without incurring interest charges, and limit their line. These banks can't be stupid about these things, and make money. But then again, maybe some banks are stupideder than others.

If one is prudent about taking care of the store, it's a no lose proposition for the wise consumers.

You can't beat a 14 month 0% loan.

Barb

I think I have received the deal you can't refuse!

One question before I start: it is addressed to my wife, is
there anyway I can get it switched to my name?? (The wife is not always understanding of these programs.)

OK - here's the deal:

1) 0% APR thru 9/2001! - thereafter 10%
...ON EVERYTHING! (oops, cash advance is 19.9% after intro period)

2)fees: 3% on cash advances ("initially" a limit of $1000 cash advance when you first get the card, what happen after "initially" is not defined)

3) balance transfers: NO FEE thru the introductory period
(ie 9/2001)

4) APR can increase to 19.9% if you are late 2 times out of 6 months; but NOT during the introductory period!

5) no annual fee, no minimum finance charge, 25 grace days
(for use after the intro period I guess)

There is no requirement for any balances to be transferred at the time of opening the account.

I can't see any fine print problems (and btw, the print is unusally large).

I assume that one way to ue this card is to charge on your regular rebate card, and then at the end of the month have
the balance transferred to this card [and put the payment in a savings account if you are really organized]. so you get rebate, and interest. Not bad. also, I guess if you had
cheap cash advance or checks on other accounts you could do the same thing for a nominal charge...

what ya think?

other ways to use?

Thanks
Bob
