The masses are not stupid ( they are not that bright either). The main thing is that they are ignorant. On the other hand, it is not their job to learn all that is requisite on all possible issues. If they pay their bills and raise their children, they are doing pretty well. What politicians have to do is learn to speak to them in ways that are resonant and inspire trust......
