A 50% reduction in the number of cars at rush hour, would reduce travel times by about 50%.

Thus doubling up would reduce commuter fuel consumption by 75%, commuter generated air pollution by 75%, and greatly increase the quality of everyone's life- and get people home earlier to see the family.


Carpooling, where practical, is a great idea.

Why take a good idea and use such flawed logic, math and assumptions to exaggerate the benefits. To give you something to argue about?
