Well, I still think if we had a monarchy we might be a bit more civilized a country. But maybe not.

Another good thing about a good monarchy -- you have a stable presence to hold on to. Here, for example, we have presidents come and go, leaders come and go. There's nobody who has held the country's respect and leadership consistently. Change is good, but so is stability. It's like a family that gets new parents every few years. What really is there to hold on to?

I'm still a bit annoyed with my Dad that he didn't get me dual American-English citizenship, which he could have done when I was born. That would have been cool.
