Exactly what is the point of having money if you are not going to live on it?

To leave it to charities that make will make a positive difference in the world. No, the US Government is not my charity of choice...they are too inefficient to make the cut for my list. I like charities that actually deliver >80% of what they collect...unlike Washington's 30% or less.

As indicated in Brian's posts--the fastest growing market for chips appears to be China. In addition, AMAT is planning expansion in the Chinese market.

Doesn't that seem inconguent with W and Rumsfeld's policy of treating China as a military threat? To repeat myself, the anti-missle treaty and the military emphases seem, at best, misplaced, and probably just plain dumb.

More on topic--the share price going up makes as little sense to me as the precipitous decline. It seems someone knows something we don't---I hope.
