be it hitler or dell, strategy is strategy....to engage in a "painful" strategy such as a "price war" oft times tends to harm the "attacker".....the references to leningrad and stalingrad are parallels. "starve" the opponent,and you "freeze" to death as you wait for their demise....

basic business and marketing: prices that go down are difficult to increase. auto industry rebates were a perfect example.

if you have a product that is superior, then compete and take market share on its merits....to compete on price is an admission that you are dealing in a commodity...
