Concerning your point One analyst, Chris Murphy, went so far as to tell them that the story seemed to change from quarter to quarter faster than he could understand it and he was finding it hard to know what to say to his clients. Eric responded that he should watch for the announcements of new directory deals, assume the merger will provide selling resources, and look at the Gartner report which says that Novell's directory technology is clearly where enterprise ebusiness solutions are headed. There was also a studious avoidance of revenue projections in relation to directory based consulting and pilot projects but for obvious reasons that Novell hasn't yet reached the point of enough revenue to talk about. Here Eric pointed to zenworks revenue which once was also very little but is now running 130 mil I think on an annual basis. =========== Messman is totally focused on selling solutions.
