By God, John. I think we've finally won you over. You admitted that the markets are not rational! I've been trying to tell you that in a hundred ways in the last few months, but you finally admitted it.

Now having said that, I personally believe that the market is short term irrational and long term rational. Basically, I mean to say that everything regresses to the mean eventually. Bubbles and depressions come and go, but over the long term the mean wins.

i do not think 15% net margins are sustainable at $182 billion revenue. look at any nonfinancial company with greater than $100 billion revenue. i doubt there is one with net margins greater than 8%. WMT, as i recall, is around 3-4%. i think the auto makers are around 3%. not sure about the industrial side of GE, or if that side is at 100 billion yet.
