Well, so much for a "rebound" this month. The Bookings
number of 712M and the Billings number of 1685M give a BtB
of 0.42 - by far the worst BtB in the history bank of data
going back to the start of Jan 1995.

Is that sarcastic? I can't tell. B2B is awful. How can you rally on that, especially with the bottom of the Semi's not in sight yet?

a Fleck quote(from his column today)--about semis--<<An Aging Bubbleonian Gathers No Wisdom A live-fish friend sent me an excerpt of a solicitation letter that he received regarding IBM DRAM sales. Apparently, they are attempting to run a B2B auction. The DRAM market is in shambles. Gee, what a surprise, with parts now trading near $3.00, with Micron's quarter-end puke still to come. The fact that MU can sell for nearly eight times annualized revenues further illuminates the point I made yesterday about chips being this year's Internet stocks. Bubbleonians, step right up, and read on: "IBM will shortly run what we hope to be a series of Internet auctions to help us sell some of our excess DRAM inventory. The first such auction is targeted to commence on approx. May 24 and close at 10 p.m. Eastern Time on May 29 (7 p.m. Pacific Time, 10 a.m. May 30 Asian Time, 4 a.m. May 30 Continental European Time). All companies worldwide with any interest in buying IBM DRAM products, both loose DRAM and IBM original DRAM modules, are invited to apply to participate. We are interested in having a diverse customer base participate. Please feel free to forward this to any business colleagues you might have that might be interested. I anticipate this e-mail will be widely distributed, but any further updates will only be sent directly to customers who have successfully registered." Pass>> end quote
