Dear Mr. P: I doubt seriously he is concerned with the RIGHT THING as this is dishonest as hell. I suspect its your latter point, he doesnt intend to run again and just wanted this last chance to SCREW the party that supported him all his life. I guess we can always hope for an auto accident or something so we can run a new election up there. JDN

Shifting toward becoming an independent is the cowardly thing to do. If he had guts he would shift entirely toward the Democrat party instead of just accepting their (bribery) chair positions, and then falsely claiming he's an independent.
