guess that's what the diesel is for -- what would he get for adding the wind turbine?

Added capital cost & O&M cost, that's all -- nothing back from being connected to the grid, no tax break, nada.

Definitely can't be justified in his situation ....

We do get daily breezes at 5-10 mph(10am-4pm) and nightly breezes about the same speed between midnite and 6 am. However, the electric usage is at low ebb during those times. Still need batteries. I'll check on Astro. Even during cloudy times we get strong sun radiation. Lattitude 20 helps. -g-
