It is the greed and excess of so many Americans that does have me scared. Their stupidy to spend like there is no tommorrow is the heart of the problem. No individual responsibility today - and it seems you are in that camp. Greenspan - you listen to him. The FED tells people what they want to hear. He is acting out of fear right now and that is obvious. He cannot and should not be trusted, as he got us here in the first place. And yes I do believe that the system can collapse. 25 years ago we did not have derivative contracts to the tune of $100 TRILLION. We did not have a LTCC like in 1998. Never base your predications on past history. I do not and will not. What I see is based on the present. It is there, and you cannot deny it. I play both sides and do fantastic trading, take emotion from trade - trade what I see. But I also manage with aggressive risk management. Patience is key. You are one that is not making people aware of the risk and lack of opportunity my friend. I hang out on that thread because we are willing to dig for the truth and not stick our heads in the sand. It is folks like you that lead people to be slaughtered. Holding a big long portfolio overnight is suicide in 2001 and 2002. I live very nicely, great wife, family - everyone happy, no money worries. See we are responsible citizens, savers and not spenders and we have all we want. We see so many on the edge because they have no discipline. We believe in a good and simple life, not loaded down with excess and glutony. And because we save - we have one thing most do not - free time, to travel and be with one another. Not grinding off our butts to reach for more than we need. More should learn to live this way - not wait to live. This is all I am saying. And I pray I am wrong - believe me. West
