Now that Shaw group announced the new natural gas power plant in South Western Arizona that they are building for PG&E; the fact came out that PG&E controls 7000 megawatts currently. They have more than 10,000 megawatts coming on line in 2004. It certainly sounds like they need government bail out for excess capacity no one wanted. It is Indian Enron over and over again. All that capacity and money invested is without prospect of ever breakeven.

If PG&E were government regulated, then this kind of over expansion situation would never happen.

As you can see conservation and recycling effort will put some utility companies in deep trouble, if government did not understand the efforts going on and the reality of the situation.
