I have had a wonderful breakthrough this week...I am no longer afraid of market down days. I think (but am not sure) that I have learned how to make $1000-$2000 a week in the market trading and if I can do that regularly I will have plenty for living on and for adding to the asset base so eventually I'll have a decent sized portfolio again...it won't be fast like last time but I know a lot more and have much more respect for cash than I did before. I agree with Venkie that this is still a trading market and cash is still king. I do believe that someday I will want a "portfolio" again, but not until I see that companies are truly growing their earnings again. Freeus I am happy that l. I no longer feel stress about stocks and 2. I have not given up control of my money to so-called "professionals" who generally perform the same or less than I do.
