I agree but we have to side somewhere. I sure as heck am not going to side with large corporations ..........I'd just as soon feed a hungry child or give him healthcare. I also would rather preserve the environment and our air before I pillage our national monuments

This is exactly the kind of tripe I'm talking about. All or nothing, us vs. them. False choices, to keep you confused, hating the other side, blindly carrying the flag into battle.

"Are the Democrats perfect? Heck no......"
Good point.

"but they are more apt to help the middle class which spurns the economy on with the buying of goods and services"
How do they help the middle class? Seems to me they just want to bring successful people down through taxation and vilification to make the middle class feel better. I'd like to hear specifically how you think the gov't can help the middle class financially.

"They also will protect our individual rights more fully"
Again, how do you feel they do this. To me it looks like they actually hurt the rights of others by promoting unfair practices like affirmative action.

The message of the republican party is the you can effect your own future with hard work and determination in America. The dems continually re-enforce the bogus idea that all kinds of groups (blacks, women, etc.) cannot do it on their own. Builds dependency, not independence.
