When I observed that page peterboro.net boosting my page fault count, I wondered about the way Windows stores on-screen data. The page, and a similar "Experience California" page on the Laughter thread last year or so, causes the window to "Shake" by displaying the page in new locations rapidly. I was trying to arrive at some conclusion about Windows internals by processing observation and evidence. I was also hoping other's ideas would shorten the journey.

Perhaps I should've left it as a chuckle. But then again, I don't enjoy a magician: I analyze the tricks.

Cheers, PW.
