Well, I had a different experience, I remember going to the first football game and seeing this ridiculous white guy dresed in a traditional Indian costume doing truly stupid things, the whole thing turned me off and I never went back to a football game until this year (plus our team sucked big time). They made the switch almost ten years aga and a large group of alumni started a Huron Restoration group and they have been whining about this ever since, I am getting tired of their extremist tactics, it's just a freaking name......I guess some people need a cause, all I care for is for Yaacov to get the help he needs<g>

By the U of I Ish is taking that as U of Illinois where they want to do away with honoring the Illini. The Chief (the dude doing the dances) has to learn the real Illini dances and performs them at grade schools as part of the heritage.
