6 months ago AMD was planning on using 248nm steppers for .13 and you were all crowing about how Intel's move to 193nm steppers for .13 meant they would have a more robust .13 process out of the gate. You and semicoeng and Elmer were all saying that phase shift required too much setup time and AMD was showing how dumb they were because AMD felt they could get a decent .13 out 248nm equipment using phase shift.

I can't speak for Elmer or semi, but I know damn well I never said any such thing. Six months ago Intel published reports indicating development of 0.13 micron was essentially complete using 248nm. I've based all of my posts on the 0.13 micron process on those reports. I encourage you to find one of my posts that says otherwise from that time period.

As far as PSM goes... there's more than one version, and I would be very interested in seeing which type of PSM process Intel is using (although I honestly don't think they'll give me a fab tour!).

As far as whether or not Intel is working with 193, given that VLSI has come out and told the world Intel is one of their customers, it's clear that they are working on 193. Maybe they were even hoping it would be ready to go for 0.13 micron... *shrug* those are facts that certainly aren't in evidence so it's impossible to comment...

Swell, just keep making it up as you go along. Whatever. Your dog told you, and the cat backed him up.

That's a mighty serious accusation, and it certainly does not apply to me on this topic. Please get your facts straight before you result to ad homiem attacks in the future...
