I can identify with Congressman Jiffords. I also used to be a moderate Republican ... for many years. Then, like Sen. Jiffers, was told, "Sorry, no room for people like you anymore. If you ain't in lockstep with Newt and "Bugs," hit the road, toad."

So I did.

And so has Sen. Jefforrds ... much to the dismay of Trent Lott who, besides no longer being majority leader, also may be voted out by his peers.

First Newt, now possibly Lott. Alas, who could be next?
