darrell..."out of character" dell management is very different then the management that grew the company. vanderslice stated yesterday, that they would consider growth beyond the direct model, casting aside the organic growth concept. will they face difficulties in buying a company with a different mindset? if you are the best, then why compete on price....allow your competition to do so, and if they are inferior, then gravity will take its toll...meanwhile you may not grow top line, but you are maintaining and growing bottom line...and your operation then has no need to make the work force redundant....everybody is happy...
