A beautiful evening star candle formation formed on Nas daily.

My eyes will be on some sort of unexpected bad news coming.

There seem to be quite a few stocks, particularly semis which have already overlapped their wave 1's. This seems like it is more than coincidence. We should still bounce but that kills the idea of an impulsive wave and I will be looking for a 3 wave '5'

I'm really starting to think that way. What the hell was I thinking trying to grab the 5th of a C anyway? You all need to smack me when I start trying to grab the last 10% like that with a major trend shift looming. Maybe one day that lesson will finally get pounded home. Yeah, right...

The thing that REALLY sucks is that - if this is true and the C failed by only having three waves up - then we've *already* seen 1 and 2 of the first down, and we're in 3 of 1 already. No graceful exit for BC, I'm afraid. Moderately expensive mistake, and yet another lesson. Fortunately only a small bet, hedged with plenty of SOX shorts, including TQNT. <g>

1931 lives on.

But in the good news category (for a bounce, or failed 5th attempt) - SOX appears to have almost five waves down complete already. Maybe it can lead a little up here, and maybe NDX/COMPX will spend a little more jello time before joining SOX/SPX in the impulsive down.

And my, my, my - look at how SOX counts out. The entire ABC counts beautifully. The last wave up is complete on that chart, five full waves up. That should be a lesson to us all: we need to watch the most speculative pieces of our favorite indicies for clues to the count. Had I actually noticed that, I never would have bought that dip yesterday morning.

I've been counting it that way from the beginning and wondering why folks were looking for another run...I think they are gonna be disappointed...

You know....I saw that and I debated whether that was a small 1 or not. I decided not to go with the small 1 up, but at this point, it may be more correct that it WAS a small 1 because of the current wave 1 and wave 4 overlap in the S&P. If the Naz falls below 2220, then we have both indexes in the same boat and I think it is likely at this point. Regardless, it looks like the rise is done.

That small 1 would seem hard to believe, but it is valid. That would make wave 3 and wave 5 up about equal in length which is just fine.
