Bill, I tend to disagree. I think the price will start to drift upwards until the confusion is cleared. Remember, the investing public was ready to throw in the towel on this one just a month ago.

This deal puts a very new spin on the company and breaths new life. Also, do not forget the announcement of Mr. Lee.

If they were 'buying' a company I would be more worried. Basically this company is going to be merged into Excelon, their name and award winning products stay, too you get a seasoned marketing and consulting force. Added to this, they are bringing new connections and cash to the plate. This is a win for both companies.

IBM bought Mainspring on the same idea. Not that I am comparing the companies, but there’s nothing wrong with emulating what the big boys are doing. Everybody knows that Excelon has the best products. What they need is support and marketing. They are getting that for free.

I agree that the uncertainty attached to this thing would be very bad if the company were flying high. The reality of it is though; we are stuck on one side of the canyon and need a bridge to cross. C-Bridge!

I think one point worth noting about this merger is that people on the Yahoo thread got very aggressive at anyone who suggested that EXLN's cash burn was heading into dangerous waters. I think it's fairly clear that this merger was partly motivated by that consideration.

Another point worth considering is that another few million dollars will be burned up in investment banking fees and re-branding.

I suppose it's on the cards that the investment bankers will get another few mil sometime soon to spin-off Object Design and start the game again at much the same point where it started 5 years ago.
