It does slightly bother me but hey--the market always bothers me! gg
Silly question, but I'm trying to find a nice bullish count here for an alternative scenario. Is it possible (in tech) that the entire 5 waves being counted from the 15th is just a 1 of C, with this correction being a 2? It would allow this down to be an impulsive A in wave 2 no? Just late night musings, and certainly not the way I prefer to see it.

I am buying puts for next week, regardless of what tech does today. I doubt it will push the previous high, but hey, that's why I have no favoured scenario right now.

If tech has turned down impulsively, then it is quite possible that the double-top in COMPX was a failed 5th. The reason I say this is that the first dump off the top (before rebounding to the double in COMPX and a lower high in NDX) counts out clearly as 3 waves. If this is so, then we are presently in wave 3 down and there will be no up this morning at all. Futures are up 10 or so as I type, so we'll see this theory tested early. The alternative for having turned down impulsively is to forget the wiggles and view us as in a 5 down presently with a correction up soon to come.

If we do turn down here, the chart-huggers will go mad seeing a bearish head and shoulders possibility in tech. -bg
