The primary function of illegal drugs is recreational, the primary use of legal drugs is therapeutic. Did you perhaps mean to say: Natural drugs are bad and synthetic drugs are good. Or perhaps natural drugs are illegal and synthetic drugs are legal. I fail to see how a plant can be illegal. Also morphine is natural and legal and illegal. The two markets are indeed very competitive and they thrive on each other.
