I'm a farmer, but it's raining today so here I am. I don't spout gibberish. I dig dirt. And knock peaches from the tree to make the few grow larger.

I am well aware of the market. Do you want fruit from a land where you don't what has been put on it?

What country has an excess of grain?

hmm... that'd be us.

Have you ever made your living farming? Burning in the sun? Spending ten hours on a tractor in a day? 8 hours culling fruit? Another 12 picking blueberries?

Just what do you do for your food?

Maybe you don't care if we were as dependent on other countries for our food as we for our oil? Yah, that's an idea. Screw the farmer. We don't need them. Let's pay them pennies. A software package is way more important than the food on our tables.
