Your assertion that imports are not the root for the setting of markets for produce is the only fantasy, here.

We subsidize the American farmer so they can compete with imports, and keep going about their cost-ineffective production. We subsidize the American auto industry so they can compete with imports, and keep their expensive union employees on the payroll.
