Tom,

<< Thanks for the comments and links. They are very helpful >>

As are your responses.

>> These are excerpted comments to Slacker on my thoughts on Mobile Java (and BREW and Club Nokia).

<< PCS (10m subs) will have to spend quite a bit to have developers continue to develop apps for them rather than for Verizon/Alltel (over 33m subs). >>

I am rather convinced (correctly or incorrectly) that as soon as sufficient processing power is available that Java (Java Phone and Java SIM) will dominate applications in mobile wireless.

My suspicion is that Java developers will write an app once then port to deal whith whatever middleware they must contend with.

<< it would seem to run counter to their Club Nokia initiative (which I admittedly do not completely understand). >>

Me neither.

Club Nokia is an play still being written ... interesting to see ACT II ... and eventually ACT III. Jorma says revenue guidance in December.
<<

Meantime, Nokia slides showed kJava & pJava. What does the k & p stand for?
