Pravin, I think they are wrong about Intel reaffirming guidance. This piece shows that they reaffirmed their capital spending plan and are still "hopeful" about a second half rebound.

3:10PM Intel (INTC) 29.14 +0.34 (+1.2%): -- Update -- Technical -- Encouraging push off support just above 28 (50 day simple ma/retracement) this afternoon. Continued short term posture above 28.6 sets the stage for a retest of the recent high (30.4) and potentially the recovery high thereafter (32.52). Patterns and indicators are currently supportive.

2:30PM Intel (INTC) 28.75 -0.05: -- Update -- BridgeNews also reports that Intel is still hopeful orders will pick up in the second half of the year.

2:28PM Intel (INTC) 28.75 -0.05: BridgeNews reporting that Intel reaffirms its 2001 capex estimate of $7.5 bln; Intel is holding its annual meeting today. There has been much skepticism that Intel will hit its $7.5 bln capex target, though reaffirmation of the target is often seen as good news for the semi equipment cos.

I posted few days back that intel was guiding up due to 100+mil in capital gains - should not be that much per share but helps :-))
