Mossberg was right on May 24th, the Price Wars are coming to an end, once inventory gets pushed out the door you can not sell at any price, high or low, stuff you no longer have to sell. The purpose of a Price War is two fold, first to push inventory, and 2nd to capture MARKET SHARE BEFORE YOUR COMPETITION DOES. I really do not see PALM and HANDspring as competitiors the way you do, they both use the PALM OS, and in the future the PALM OS royalty and licensing revenue stream will eventually exceed the earnings from selling hardware. For example, 2 generations of handheld and PDA devices from now, it may well all be about the expansion slot card makers, that plug into the PALM and PALM OS devices.
