I agree that for now, it's not a big deal. I was arguing the point that when platform costs for p4 drop due to sdram chipsets that we'll be in trouble. As long as p4 is saddled with rambus, I'm not too worried.

I'd expect 1.5 ghz athlons and 2 ghz p4s to come at roughly the same time. (January of 01 ;)
